Students' reluctance to practice athletics in middle school at schools under the supervision of the Education Department in the municipality of Al-Asabaa
Abstract
Sports are considered one of the most important areas in which an individual finds himself. Therefore, attention was paid to all aspects and requirements of sports practice to build desirable trends through organizing motivational, emotional, cognitive, and perceptual processes. The relationship between the individual and his social environment and directing his behavior towards topics becomes clear in a relatively stable manner. The modern school curriculum is concerned with male and female students and considers them an important and fundamental axis in the educational and teaching process, taking into account the characteristics of their growth and paying attention to the physical, mental, social, and emotional aspects of their personalities. It also takes into account their needs, tendencies, readiness, and abilities. The school curriculum also pays attention to sports activities because of their importance in the educational and teaching process, as is the case with other activities. What happens in this activity has become similar to what happens in lessons implemented inside the classroom, as students can express their tendencies through it, satisfy their needs and desires, and learn skills that are difficult to learn in the classroom. The impact of physical education and sports in the educational process and in the integrated upbringing of the individual is considered comprehensive.
