Abstract

In the current time, intellectual property is the main driver of economic development at all levels, as it has become controlling the economic development process.

As intellectual property constitutes a legal framework aimed at protecting innovations, literature, brands, designs, and all the creative works produced by the human mind. Protection systems include national laws and international agreements such as the Bern Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, the Paris Agreement for the Protection of Industrial Property, and the Trippus Agreement. The importance of this protection lies in promoting creativity and encouraging investment in research and development, while balancing the rights of creators and the interest of society in reaching knowledge. However, protection faces challenges such as piracy, tradition, and social awareness of intellectual property rights.
