Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the employee empowerment strategy on achieving the requirements of institutional performance development, based on the perceptions of middle management leaders at the General Administration of Al-Bunya Investment and Services Company.

The study adopts a descriptive–analytical approach. The descriptive method was used to conceptualize the employee empowerment strategy and highlight its importance as a key driver of institutional performance development, while the analytical method was employed to analyze primary data. A structured questionnaire was developed as the main data collection instrument. The study population consisted of all middle management leaders at the company’s General Administration, and a comprehensive survey method was applied due to the small population size (40 respondents).

The findings revealed that middle management leaders perceived the level of employee empowerment strategy implementation at Al-Bunya Company as low. However, their perceptions regarding the impact of employee empowerment on achieving institutional performance development requirements were positive. The results also indicated a statistically significant positive effect of employee empowerment dimensions on institutional performance development, with an explanatory power of 54.9%, attributed to the employee empowerment strategy.

The study concludes that enhancing employee empowerment can significantly contribute to improving institutional performance development. Accordingly, it recommends fostering an organizational culture that supports performance development through targeted training programs and enabling employees to participate in formulating strategic plans and objectives, given the positive role of such participation in achieving institutional performance requirements
